Review of
Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader
Not bad. My favorite parts of this novel were any interactions between vader and palpatine and also getting to hear Vader's inner thoughts.
The interactions between Vader and Palpatine really helped to show the developing relationship, with Vader still trying to figure out who he is and where is place is in the galaxy now. No one in the galaxy really knows who he is and doesn't yet have a massive fear of him. Seeing that develop was neat.
Also getting to see Vader's inner thoughts was fantastic. Seeing his struggle to get used to his new body; describing his sensations and how frustrated he was. The inner struggle between Vader and Anakin was also still quite present.
I could care less about the new band of Jedi what what they were up to. The final chapter featuring Obi-Wan was worth the wait. 3.5/5
