A look inside clone trooper training. Not great compared to epic space battles but a decent story.

I like this episode a lot. Clone troopers can be really boring, but this episode expands on them while also telling an intriguing story.

That's an okay episode by all means but what makes it really stands out is 99.
I like him as character, accepting what he is, what he can and can't do but still trying his best. Just like the rest of Domino Squad.

99 was an interesting character to add in this one. From what I had always understood, any defective clones were recycled and not kept around to perform maintenance tasks. Not saying I don't like him, was just surprised to see him pop up.

"Rookies" is a standout episode in Season One and it is nice to see an in-depth look at the team featured in that episode. This goes to show that not every clone is created equal and watching these characters learn to work together without dramatically changing their personalities is satisfying. After hearing all of their nicknames in "Rookies," it is fun to see the origins of the names. It's telling how good your team might be with a name like 'Droidbait.'
This is our first real look at Shaak Ti so our Jedi roster is rounding out nicely. It makes sense to have a Jedi in command of training if these clones are eventually going to be taking orders from Jedi generals on the front lines.
The two bounty hunters are a little on the nose in terms of one being overly optimistic and the other being pessimistic (and a jerk).
I like 99.

Although I like Shaak Ti being featured, this is just a mediocre episode to me....
