Finally made it to the Clone Wars series. I watched the first season and part of this one when they originally aired. Great start. Love the interactions between Obi-wan and Anakin.

Well, after a bunch of pointless filler garbage between this and the Mace Windu: Jedi of the Republic we finally get into the Clone Wars series!

We start with a fairly decent episode. It's a good start, but it's a bit of a basic opening. Giving it a 4 due to the good characterization and entertaining plot, but overall not meaning much.

What a refreshing episode.

The hunt of Red October meets Star Wars. Very cool concept and I love this Anakin, I've already seen Clone Wars from start to finish but I know that having them in chronological order will make me love him even more.

Yularen voice is amazing.

Alien speech is just putting emphasis on the wrong syllables.

So glad to finally get into this series! Starting with this episode provided some interesting background on Anakin's perspective.

The Battle of Christophsis finally all comes together. I am watching these in release date order and this is the 16th episode of Season Two. The 16th episode of Season One is the next episode and the movie appears after that.

With that being said, it is slightly rewarding watching these out of order. Because I know how Anakin is acting a few months after this battle, it is telling to see his starting point from the Clone Wars. He has a little more attitude and is more openly rebellious here. I think Anakin matures a little bit when he starts teaching a Padawan of his own when Ahsoka shows up during the movie.

It is also neat to see Admiral Yularen's first encounter with Anakin. He never plays a huge role (in at least the first two seasons), but I still like to see characters that show up in the original trilogy. Yularen is vital to this episode by being both a voice of reason and the villain's hype man. He does a good job making Trench seem like a potent threat in a short amount of time.

I prefer these space battles over ground battles. They remind me of both air warfare (dogfighting in planes) and naval warfare (huge ships duking it out or even pirate ships with cannonballs).
